Yeah, there's a downside to the pink slip mod- it makes it so much easier to just trade it in on an STI!

Or to just sell it in, make back all that money you've invested in it, and build an awesome GC!

Yeah, but that is WAAAAAYYYY more effort. When the day comes that I have more money than time, I won't be building my project cars anymore.

All of my other cars have only been lightly modified so I'll have to take your word for it

After a mildly modded RS, a mildly modded Miata, 2 mildly modified wagons, and 2 complete tear-down swaps... yeah, I'm kinda over it.

I've always been "over it". I really don't see myself ever going further than "stage II" on any car.

Oh, I'm not over wanting a faster car. I'm over spending dozens and dozens of hours building one if I don't have to.

Exactly. Buy a fast car or do some easy mods to make it fast or both. I apreicate swaps but I also apreciate my lack of patience with working on cars.

Phh... pussies. If I didn't make it fast myself, I don't wanna drive it!

But that's a part of what I do. There's a sort of pride involved in what I've been able to do with the cars that I've built. I totally agree with someone who doesn't do what I'm able to do simply buying a fast car. It just makes sense.

See, I want to be able to do what Corey does so naturally I agree. When I wanted "the easy way out" I bought an STi and I wasn't happy with it even though it was great fun and I sold it after about a year of owning it. Now I have a crappy L and I'm loving it.

My mildly modded L is great but the nickel and dime stuff breaking is a pain. I want a car that I can just buy parts for, no hunting down jdm bits or having to build my own shit.

I've read similar responses from other guys that did JDM engine swaps.

If you could do it again would you have gone USDM or not bothered swapping at all?

jdm, it cost about 1/3 as much as a usdm swap. Best bang for the buck.
If I had to do it again I would have sent my harness to ecs instead of crappy garage tuning.
