I have a chance to pick up some toyo r888's for a good price.. What you guys think? $300 worth it if there's decent tread?

Depends on the heat cycling. And if you're not planning on track days or a season of autocross you can make $300 go farther with a set of top street tires.

I have a set of toyo R888 on my S for track day. I love the grip and I heard that tread will last longer than a grip. This is my 1st set of DOT race tires so I can't compare to anyhting. My set was $1000 new.
