Default MudFlaps Anyone?

I think we need a weekend meet(or just a good thread with ideas) to mod up some home brew mudflaps for our cars. I know I would like the extra rock protection espeically for auto-x, not to mention they kinda make our cars look tougher. The STi ones are extremely financially stressing! We need to buy some material or pre-made flaps to cut and fabricate ourselves to fit the wrx. Anyone have any ideas I know Bicycleray made his own and he said it wasn't that bad. I have the STi stencil I got with my replica fog covers if we want to go all out and make really nice icy-hot flaps.

Those nice STi flaps have some metal mounting bits for make them nice and rigid w/o being bolted to the outside of the car. We need to get the templates for 'em and some sort of brackets!

Of course, designs for rally quality flaps are redilty available, but they usually include bolts into the side of the car. They're designed to meet specifications that exist to help keep spectators safe from rock spray, and don't have a lot of provisions for looking nice on the car:

Check out these mud flaps.

They don't look too hard to make.

Yah, time to go to Home depot and see what kind of hard grade rubber they have in sheet form.
