I'm down for grabbing a set of RA-1's before I have to head back to Reno. I'd offer to pick up some for others, but I'm not even really sure I'll have space for my set in the car.

615s for $150 including tax is a killer deal. Now we have to figure out a way to have him deliver to NV so we pay no TAX and therefore less.... Maybe we could make it work Aaron's while to make a tire run for us. Anybody know this guy well enough to see if we can setup a SECCS delivery option?

He's the guy that runs I Club, he's got a reputaion for being perpetually busy and not following through on things. I'd say there's little or no chance he'd set up a special deal for shipping.

Good luck with getting a better deal than that, Dean. Considering Alex already sees this club as "impacting" i-club, he's not going to go out of his way to save another $11 and then coordinate a trip. I get like 19 mpg, which means a trip to the bay and back alone is $35, and Reno is the same way. $70-80 in gas, and I can carry like 2 sets of tires(maaaaaaaaybe 10 tires, but that's pushing it) means that by the time some transport plan is set up, it's going to be a wash.

If we can coordinate something, I'm happy to run to the bay for you guys, and then meet someone who comes down with a truck or something, but I don't have the space to store tires or anything (I've already got a set of Recaros and a set of Superleggeras in my 10x12 bedroom )

Bummer. Maybe I can get Sue to pick up a set for me before she comes up next week.

Well, we will see. I just PMed him about picking up a set this week. I didn't see that he had his on-line store up and running.

Well, I'm in the market for some RA1's and some Falken street tires (115's), So I was thinking I might run down there with the Titan in a couple of weeks. I can probably haul 5 or 6 sets easily. Hmm. I'm not quite ready to buy yet, but it sounds like this will be a running deal.

Check out Vulcan Tire as an option for some good prices on the 615s.

Thanks, but I already checked them, and Discount Tire. VT: $148 + $11 shipping > $150. DT: $153 + Tax > $150.

I know a deal on tires when I see them. I just wish TireRack would pick up Falken so we had a local source again.

RA-1s and ST-115s!

So is he setting up an actual store, or did he just come across some rubber that fell off the back of a truck, so to speak?

So are the Toyo RA-1's better then REO70's?

For what? They are a pretty good R-Compound track tire. They are not great Autocross tire, and would kick you into the full race tire class if you used them for autocross. RE070s are better/legal for Autocross in ST classes. There are better R compound autocross tires.

Liz goes down to the bay area to visit her dad on occasion when he fly's in to work. If there were enough orders put together she has the big dodge with the 8 ft bed. I'll have to talk to her, but more than likely that would be an option for pick-up.

Nice I hope Liz is okay with it once we contract her out for 10 sets of tires in about 2 months.

Seriously though, that's a great offer!

i think it would be like a one time run, cram as many tires on as humanly possible and rope em down. If there was enough sets I would have her take the horse trailer down.

Bump... I think I could fit like 5 sets of tires in my van, and I plan to go down the hill every 3 weeks or so anyway.

Well, so far, I got a single response, and then nothing... So I'm not sure if this option is real yet...

Edge Racing, an Discout Tire may be the way to go.

Big Surprise, Alex not following through on something. I think Edge is the way to go. there is also a place called frysbee that has good prices.
