Yes, I'll fix it for you. Again.
Default Cranks but won't start (at first)

Wow, two Tech posts in a month, sorry fellas.

Anyhow, my Mom's '95 OBS with the 1.8 and 5MT is having starting issues. When first attempting to start the car, it cranks but does not fire (smells of gas). After sitting for 10-15min, it fires on the first turn. I've replaced the fuel filter, and it seems to be getting gas just fine.

So far, I've found one obscure reference from 2004 on IClub to the Cam and Crank sensors, but with no explanation included.

Any experience here?

PM replied.

Also, I've seen issues where the cam or crank sensor can cause this kind of issue, but it's *generally* accompanied by a CEL, and not so forgiving with cranking right up after a short sit.

Roger that, and thanks Cory! I'll check it for fuel pressure tomorrow. This might turn out to be a sensor chase, though....
