Default augest autocross event?

is the date yet known?

big-o tires has a "buy 4 falken tires and and get 4 race tickets free(please choose from the list of races)" thing going on. i'm thinking of buying there so i can get tickets to irl grand prix sonoma aug 26-27. i just saw the 4 mile rfr race but i don't think i'll make it to that.

I'd like to know too. Maybe one of the board members knows (Scott, Matt?).

John Evans sent an email 2 weeks ago asking if people would attend an autox at Squaw Valley the weekened of Aug. 12/13, but I haven't heard anything since then.

I'm pretty sure 12/13 are the dates, it was just the site that was not set in stone. But, it seemed after the meeting last week that it will be at Squaw Valley after all.

Yes, it's looking like 99% sure we'll be at Squaw Valley on Aug 12-13. Details should be at renoscca.com soon.

That would be cool, I mean, not as hot as it would be in Stead!

What's the altitude there? Can we handicap the turbocharged cars?

I should help induce an overall handicap for the turbo cars. This may be my first event. I need to disguise my car so none of my friends see me.

I drove around the parking lot today. I pictured them putting us out on the east end of the lot so we would not effect parking for the village. The east end of the parking lot has a couple of islands and a large a-frame building. Guess we could go around the big building and miss the islands. O, and there are some deep dips, it's def. not flat, but the surface is better than Stead. Boreal may be an option for next year. They are putting some money into the surface of there lot this summer.

Parking lot resurface? what a waste, they don't even have a Super Pipe Dragon yet. sux they can only make 14 foot walls in their half pipe...

maybe we could have an event at one of heavenly's parkinglots? or Sierra's , man if we could rent Sierra we could have a ton of fun, esp if we could get all 3 upper lots and the connecting roads *drools* . they just gate the whole thing closed all summer though, so i'm not sure if there is anyone around in the off season to even ask about renting the lots . the sweeping around parking lot roads are a blast with a ton of snow down though
