Default Attachments!!!

Well, I finally stepped up and installed the attachment mod for phpBB. There may be some bugs since there were a ton of files to edit... let me know if things seem funny!

What's better? The thumbnailed version, or just attaching the images full size?

BTW: this allows all kinds of attachments... not just images... you can post movies and they'll stream... zip files or whatever!

Thats pretty cool. I like the full picture instead of the thumbnail. Is there a size limit?

Size limit's are in the 10MB range for posts... like 100MB for PMs... I'm hoping this will allow you guys to zip up meet pics and just pm them to me so I can toss them in the gallery.

However, I'm not sure what the server will allow... so 100MB may not be attainable... we'll find out when we try it I guess!

Crap, looks like 2MB is the max...

I might be able to fix that tonight from home where I have telnet access.

So we have a 1,000 MB quota? Damn. If you could raise the limit per attachment to about 750 MB, then we could upload full movies :o

Well, my ISP might not be happy about that... plus, the php.ini only allows 2MB uploads, which I can't guarentee I can fix.

my stupid 15 LCD is too small to fit all this attachment stuff on one page without having to horizontally scroll, i think you should keep the thumbnail link version as the default, i have went into threads and spent too much time scrolling around to see what other people type. just my oppinion, i dont mind opening windows to look at the picture, i actaully like it better!

If I could set the thumbnails to a say 600px wide I'd do it, but it's only really small or full size.

People should just be more curtious and refrain from posting pictures over 600px wide. It's kinda like TYPING IN ALL CAPS... CUT IT OUT!!!

Sorry. At home I use ACDsee to view my pictures. It just makes them a standard size for viewing. I didn't think to see how big the pics are naturally. Ill try and re-size them before posting them.
