Very Interesting...I'm curious to see the direction they go with the heavy applications, like trucks, as well as sports cars

Michelin claims the new airless wheel and Tweel tire package will be ready for market by 2014.

I saw video of that Audi a few weeks back. It looks pretty cool, at least functionally... asthetically, it looks like ass.

I wonder if F1 or rally will start using these? No more punctures, and more latteral stiffness!

The wheels are already being used on high-cost special purpose vehicles, like electric wheelchairs. So they are in use... there's just going to be a ton of testing required for them to be legalized for general car use.

It would look just like a regular tire right, I mean they would cover the sidewall with rubber.

That tire is just a demo to show people the inside?

I think they'd have to, otherwise crap like mud would get caught inside the tire and imbalance it really easily.
