Default WTB: Impreza or 2.5 RS

I'm finally ready to buy a new car and so far I'm coming up empty handed. I want to find an Impreza or 2.5 RS, preferably local, manual trasmission, and something that doesn't need major work. I'm looking to spend under $10k too.

I've tried autotrader already (two found, both autos) and cars.com isn't working for me for some reason. If you know of anyone selling one or have seen one for sale, please let me know. Thanks in advance guys!

I might know of one. I've been trying to contact the guy for a few days though.

That silver one at Bill's shop was a '99 4D manual for $7,800. Little late now though.

And it had 108,000 miles on it.

DEAL'S AND WHEELS TIM. Or is it Wheels and Deal's...?

JC, keep me informed if you here anything.

Jonny, I bet that 2.5 is long gone by now. I would look at Wheels and Deal, but I'm in Texas remember?

I found two 2.5's for sale around the area that I'm currently in at www.rs25.com One is local and the original owner, the other is in Albuquerque which is something like 250 miles away.

You're only there for short while longer.

Oh not unless you stay for UTEP or whatever.

You are 250 miles away from Albuquerque? I was in Santa Fe for the last 8 days and I got back today. Way to tell me you are ready to buy are a car. I'll check around here and I'll call you pretty soon.

Santa Fe is still a ways away I think. How was your trip Pete? Thanks for looking bud. I'll be home next weekend.

I'm looking at an 00 2.5 here in Texas. Original owner, 89,000 miles, no engine mods, blue with gold 17 inch Rota Tarmacs and 5zigen springs (to low). The only bad thing about it is that it has some decals that need to be removed asap, and the suspension needs some love. The guy was asking $10,000 and I talked him down to $8,500 the first time I met him. Blue Book is only $7,700-$8,200 (high) though, so I need to talk him down more. I'll keep you guys updated.

Well, I bought the local, stock engine, original owner 2.5 RS for $8,000 (talked him down from $10K ) When I take possesion of the car in a few days (waiting on paper work etc.) the first thing I'm planning on doing is removing the yellow stickers on the vents on the hood, and the Subaru logo on the side. Following the sticker removal will be a nice drive through the mountains which are seen in the background of the second picture, then it's home for a nice waxing and detailing. Here are a few pictures, tell me what you think!

Hey thanks guys. I'm itching to bring it home but sadly I leave Texas on Saturday without the car

I'm moving here for school next semester so I'm going to leave the car in my sister's garage until I come back. I still want to support SECCS so I'll be sure to make it out to as many meets as possible before I leave and pick up a sticker

I didn't like the wheels at first, but the more I look at them the more they grow on me.

(Hint: Kevin's car is a blue coupe w/ gold wheels. Well, okay hand-painted white Volks, but in the winter... gold wheels.)
