Not sure if any of you saw this but edgeracing has marked them down considerably - 225/45/17 - $112!

Yeah, but shipping is $71... That's high. 10-15$/tire shipping is about right.

The i-Club guy said $550/set including tax, but now that I want to order, no response...

Dean it would still be cheaper. $112 X 4 + $71 = $519

I was thinking of tax as well, but since they don't have a Nevada presence, you are right. Probably means everyone else's price should drop as well. Maybe we will see $120 or so shipped from Discount Tire by spring.

$99 x 4 + $66.72 shipping = $462.72 >
$106 x 4 + 37.74(tax) shipped = $461.74 from Discount Tire. save the 98 cents...

Oh, and for autocrossing, you are probably better off with the 235/40-17 anyway.

I've got the Hankooks in 235/40/17. Good tire... a little sloppy compared to the old RT215's, but better in the wet. I've got a set of those on the car right now while I'm breaking the car in, and it's doing pretty good in the rain around the bay right now.
