02 wrx "parts car" - Subaru Enthusiasts Car Club of the Sierras

We got a blue 02 in on trade last week, and my sales manager wants to wholesale it. Thing is, it's got some "wholesale issues"...

First, there's a set of light grey, leather racing seats in it, that he wants to get rid of. They have a bit of normal wear, but aren't too bad condition wise. He would rather have stock seats in it tho. If anybody is interested, he said that he'd be willing to make a straight trade for them. They'll bolt into the stock location with no modifications as well...

Thing is, there's no receiver for the seatbelt on them, so that's a bit of a quandry...

There's also a set of "Schroth style" harnesses in there, that he more or less told me to get rid of. They aren't properly mounted, but they'd be decent harnesses for auto-x if they were. They're blue, and have "subaru impreza wrx" stitched on them. No webbing tears or any other issues that I saw, but I'll take a closer look when I remove them of course.

I don't know if anybody will be interested in the seats, but maybe the harnesses. Just thought I'd mention it, and see if anybody gives a crap!

I don't think I want the drivetrain out of this... It's pretty beat the f*ck up. Thing runs like ass...

The harness would be free to whoever wants it, essentially. I'm just gonna yank it out. You can pretty much bolt it in to *any* car, as long as it's mounted correctly! Oh, in case I wasn't clear, when I say "harnesses", I mean only one. Driver only. It's yours if you want it dude!

I don't think the boss man wants to yank out the headlights. Pretty much, he wants rid of the parts that will make it difficult to wholesale the car...

I concur, but I'm pissed that the opportunity to remove one bugeye from the world was squandered.

He could have at least smashed the whole front end up pretty good, and just had the body shop order '04-'05 parts instead...

Since NevadaSTI was the first to chime in, and I've got the harness out and it's in good shape, it's yours if you want it dude!

The seats actually have some pretty stout frames on them too! From "Wedge Engineering" Nice, heavy steel, and built specific to fit the Impreza.

If we take out the racing seats, there'll have to be a trade. It's not worth it for him to buy new ones for a wholesale car, but the car would fetch more on the wholesale market with the stock seats...
