Hey everybody,
There is a benefit concert for Kayla Nebeker, a 23 year old recent graduate of UNR who beat colon cancer (stage IV) at age 19 who has been diagnosed with the most aggressive form of brain cancer (glioblastoma multiforme) not unlike what took Richard Burns.

The concert is on 10/26, thursday, @ 2PM. "A Gala for Kayla", the cost is a $5 donation and there are at least six bands. So far they are: Element, E-Mic, Fingerprints Lie, Slasher, Mnemonic, The Stops, & more.

There is a rundown on her condition and history as well as a donation link to her fund.

The website does not yet include updates from 10/9 which reduced her life expectancy from 6mos-2 years to 2-3 weeks. Her treatments have been discontinued, and she is being discharged from Renown/Washoe to go on Hospice care in Salt Lake with her family for her remaining time.

For those who are able, please come to the concert. For those who are financially able, yet time challenged, please visit her website and donate if you have the resources. Any last little penny helps. Please visit her website and at least aquaint yourself with her condition. She is a great girl and is in the midst of the raw deal to beat all raw deals. It is likely that she will no longer be with us when the concert takes place.
