Default Benny Parsons, RIP

BP died today after fighting lung cancer.

As annoying as he could be when it came to commentary, he was one of the NASCAR good ol' boys. First man to qually faster than 200 mph!

That's a bummer. I liked him for the most part. I think he really enjoyed announcing.

Whole bunch of stuff on the main page and special page of Nascar.com...

I like the good ol' boys. Darrell cracks me up, and Mark Martin is my hero. Still kicking ass and taking names all the way to #9 in the standings at his age. Dale Jarrett is no slouch either.

I must be getting old... DW, DJ, Mark Martin... those aren't "the old guys" in my book, those are just "the guys". I really stopped watching NASCAR round about '99/'00.

Yeah, shit Dale Jr., Matt Kenseth & co. are the seasoned veterans these days.
