Cirque du soliel, in this order...: Mystere, O, Love, KA Zumanity. And yes, the tickets are worth it and you will both enjoy them. If you have never seen one, this is a must!!! Get tickets on-line ASAP.

Celine Deon was OK, but only for free.

Penn & Teller show!!!!

Watch the Belagio fountains from the bar that overlooks them. Can't remember the name.

Roller coasters: New York New York = Good. Desperado out in Prim = very good. The others are OK at best. Stratosphere rides if you just want to be scared.

See how many unique insults you came come up with for the people handing out porn on the corners.

Hang out at the pool.

Forum shops (Atlantis show is pretty cool/hot) You will score bonus points. Outlet shops are pretty good also.

FRY'S!!!!

Sirens of TI show outside treasure island. Volcano in front of the mirage.

Food:
Samba Brazilian Steakhouse @ Mirage!!!! Don't eat lunch!!!
Voodoo Cafe @ Rio
Anything at Caesars

Bars: Ghost bar @ Palms, Voodoo Lounge @ Rio

Indoor sky diving

Freemont street experience at night downtown.

Walk the strip and check out all the casinos.

Monorail is a waste, don't bother unless you use it to get back from your strip walk.

Helicopter or blimp ride...

Hoover dam

That's a good quick list.

Thanks for all the ideas. I still have to work tonight and Sunday night so keep the ideas coming. It's for the wifes birthday so the kart track may have to be skipped.

*the wife speaking* Thanks for all the ideas, and no we will not be going carting or racing of any sort. Sorry. If it makes you feel better I'm going to try to get "the husband" to go to some of the "adult" shows. I wonder if the fact that I posted that is going to embarrass him when he comes back in the room. Ok, bye

When you win free tickets and a beautiful woman wants to go with you, the show isn't bad.

And there is actually some amazing technology in/on the stage you can geek out on like the multi-million
dollar largest indoor LCD screen in the U.S. they use as a backdrop/prop/actor.

And there is at least one Meatloaf song in it which rocks. And I don't want to hear any crap about Meatloaf except his new album which sold 5 copies and sucks.

Just because the seat that you won is next to the seat the woman won, doesn't mean she "wants to go with you"

I'm not so hard up or geeky that I'd sit through that Canadian toothpick's set just to be next to a hot chick while watching a large LCD screen.

BS. You are male and just like Derrick will make appropriate sacrifices/compromises to make/keep your SO happy and to continue to spend weekend's at the track, etc.. activities that you like. Geekiness is not required. The LCD screen just makes it more tolerable.

Heck, you'd probably go to a movie with the words "sisterhood" or "groove back" in the title!

Actually on several occasions Lisa has refused to come to race events of mine simply because she's not interested, and I've got no problem with that. Similarly, I'd refuse to see Celine Deon even if the only reason to go was to please Lisa.

There's plenty of middle ground out there, like going to Seca for the Historics on Sunday, and then to the Aquarium on Monday. One's more fun for me, the other for her, but neither of us were required to suffer simply for the sake of the other.

Lisa already knows better than to ask me to watch chick flicks, but I'll watch a Disney movie no sweat 'cause they at least tend to have great animation which is something I'm entertained by even if the story is cheesy. Like I said, there's plenty of middle ground out there to meet on.

My wife stop coming out to the kart track since we have 1st son (like 7yrs ago). She never went to auto-x. Now because of my son start racing so she come out and see him. Same thing I stop going shopping with her.

I guess I'm lucky, my SO would rather stab herself in the ear with sharp objects than listen to Celine Dion. But even if she loved that hack, I still wouldn't go to a show with her.

Compromise is just that - meeting in the middle. It doesn't mean forcing yourself to do something you can't stand.
