Default Good site to buy parts from?

I'm looking for a site that has a great selection of parts like exhausts, lowering springs, accessports, stuff like that, but with the lowest prices.

Good STi parts can be had at www.racecompengineering.com or www.gtworx.com but they're the same company.

gruppe-s isn't worth dealing with for their low prices. IMO.

I've had only great experiences ordering parts from www.oakos.com and www.rallysportdirect.com.

I'd go with GST too. There are probably places a little cheaper, but Mike and his crew over at GST will take care of you and won't sell you the crap parts other places will pitch simply 'cause the profit margin is slightly better for them.

Plus, they're just over the hill in the Bay Area, so standard ground shipping shows up at your door the next day after you order it, and there's no sales tax!

I've also purchased from oakos, no complaints. I thought racecomp and rallysportdirect were both a bit overpriced, but decent shops. I don't buy from Gruppe-S anymore since MikeW left there to start GST... it was his service and knowledge that brought me to Gruppe-S in the 1st place, without him the place is just another pseudo-shop hawking car parts... though I do like their sweet t-shirts from a few years back.

Nobody there can explain why one part is better than another. They only know which ones make them more money.

They have terrible customer service. Check their eBay and i-club feedback.

They are shady. They sell knock-offs and don't honor distributor agreements.

Their prices are generally the lowest but personally, I won't support them and their business model.

Thanks. I have heard and seen posted a lot of the stuff you just stated. I have dealt with them probably 4 or 5 times and I guess I have just been fortunate. Well I guess except for when I ordered the clutch/flywheel combo that they failed to tell me was out of stock until weeks later. But I guess that could have been avoided if I had called in and asked about the stock before placing my business with them.

I've dealt with racecomp and gtworx, and good experiences there. Oakos kinda pissed me off once, but I'm over it now. Still, it might be a while before I order from them again.

I agree. +1 for Mike. He has taken care of me better then any other subaru person and you can always feel confident with whats coming out of his mouth. Unless its his lunch onto the keyboard.
