Kauai'i was AMAZING! - Subaru Enthusiasts Car Club of the Sierras

It was outstanding! I've never seen a place so just breathtaking in every direction! Went and checked out most of the popular places, and did a fair share of just sitting on the beach and pounding drinks at the pool bar. We also took a 4 mile round trip hike up a mountain side, and then back down, to a really amazing hidden beach. It's a spot where the rain water from the mountain comes down in a decent size river into the ocean, and it's mind blowing! Big fresh water pools to swim in, and SUPER soft fine sand covering the whole beach. Just awesome.

Anyway, here's a few pics... "Spouting Horn" where the water from the break comes up and shoots out of a hole in the rock above, mountains, canyons, and a pic from the "trail" we hiked! Those rocks are MUCH bigger than they appear. It was no leisure walk!

I haven't been to HI since I was about 12, but we spend most of our time on Kauai and it was gorgeous. Glad you had fun

Cool! I'm pretty sure that the waterfall in the 3rd pic is the one that we (Amanda, my cousin, and my uncle) hiked across when we were there last Christmas.

From what I could tell, the maps and disc you gave me were all for roads on Maui! Nothing on them was even remotely familiar...

I've got some more pics Scotty, but as we all know, I'm not the greatest photographer, so they're mostly mediocre at best... Those are the cream of the crop!

It's great dude! The water is SO clean! (maybe except where dirty, sweating, hikers have been swimming in them...)

It really was! It's the beginning of the rainy season there, but it was great the whole week! The locals told us we were kinda lucky!
