We removed her intake silencer. I can't remember if we reinstalled the snorkus.

It helps pressurize the fender well especially if you seal around the opening into the fender. I normally have mine on even with my in fender CAI. I think when I did the silencer delete rather than removing it, I left the two fittings for the filter box and snorkus to support it and cut the rest off flat to the inside of the fender.

I have the snorkus blowing cold air into the fender and the stock intake box sealed to the fender with foam. Love it. I told Mary we should do something similar to hers at some point. I've seen people use PVC pipe instead of foam.

I took off the snorkus and also removed my heat shield. I don't need that cold air getting in and giving my engine the chills.
