Default Exedy Twin Plate Clutch

I went from the ACT 6 puck unsprung clutch with ACT HD pressure plate and ACT street light fly wheel to this Exedy(FM012SD) set up. After driving it for about a month now I definitely feel it was worth the money to make the change to this clutch.

Overall pedal feel is maybe only a little stiffer than stock which is a huge difference compared to the ACT HD pressure plate. Overall driveability is also improved. 1st gear start ups are faster and I don't need to rev the car as high to prevent stalling. There is still slight chatter with this clutch in 1st gear, but nothing like the ACT 6 puck.

Although these cost quite a bit(I paid about 2000$ installed for the clutch with the new pilot and throw out bearing), I personally feel they are a great clutch option for the wrx/sti with mid level power and torque.

Special thanks to Mike and the guys at GST for the install and also to OAKOS automotive for the great price.
Ryan
