Deal, did somebody say Deal? Oh, Dean, yeah that's me.

I see similar services for truck and heavy equipment tires all the time but no familiarity with this company in particular. I probably would not trust them with any pretty alloy wheels. Not many touchless mounting machines bolted to truck beds I am aware of.

I saw them at the autoshow. They have a big converter to power the equipments. $25 each for install 224/45/17. Not a bad price consider they come to you.

One of their trucks has been parked on Damonte Ranch Rd. every few nights. Don't know anything about them, but I spied in the back and they have a nice mounter and balancer and a lot of tires in that small truck. I'm sure there is a premium for them coming to you, but you never know. If they don't need brick & mortar mortgage and insurance, they may get away with equivalent pricing.

Never used them though, so couldn't tell you about that.

While Cory was in between Nissan and KSpeed, I gave this company a try. The owner, Jason, came to my house to dismount/discard 4 kuhmos, and mount 4 used hoosiers on my SSR's - @$25. Your price may vary depending on what you request (I didn't need balancing or new valve stems).

Interesting business model: much of his business comes from fleet accounts (think WSD with multiple vehicles in one place that can be serviced at one place, on the same day). Nevertheless, for my work order, he came to my house, extremely convenient. (If I didn't call him, I would have needed 2 trips to an installer to get this done - 4 wheels/tires, plus 4 additional tires don't fit in the car). And if you were going to order from TireRack anyway, he'll travel out there to pick up your order.

Jason is very professional. He's been a NNV resident for quite some time. He has a law enforcement background where he got exposed to fleet management, and I assume this is where he developed his idea for his business. He's also currently running for Assemblyman in District 25.

Cory is still at the top of my mind for my car work - but Pit Stop Mobile Tire Shop was a good find for me, as an alternate for tire mounting. (Though no one else but the Magic Man will be able to handle those Kuhmos )

$25 total? Why didn't you need balancing?

I didn't think it was of value to balance the race wheels / tires.
Does anyone have a different experience?

At most autocross speeds, probably doesn't make a big difference, but could if they are way off. Definitely need dynamic balancing for track speeds.

So, $25/tire without balancing? That seems a bit high.

Sure, it's higher than some other places - but with my circumstances, having the service come to me was a big benefit. And I didn't have to get my hands dirty.
