That was a good day today ... until Matt ruined it by beating us all with a 55.8!!

I also saw a lot of the newbies lowering their times this afternoon. Awesome job!

You all looked like you were having way too much fun today. Shame on me for not having a babysitter, or I could have joined in and given you all a laugh by spinning a LGT out in the rain.

It was awesome to see Subarus stomp on that Porsche and Z06. Good driving guys!

I made page 7 of the March newsletter.

I'm easily amused, it's true.

Dude, not only is that in the newsletter, that's the flyer we're using to recruit people to our safe, low-risk PDEs and Club Trials at RFR.

Good job today by the way guys- pretty much everyone came out, had fun, and made rapid progress. You'll all be pros by the end of the season.

Are you referring to my RS? I have a very worn set of re070s on that are a couple days away from being replaced by a brand-spankin new set of rt615s.

I'm switching a bit prematurely because I need something that's a little more daily-driver safe in the tread department. The re070s still have a few events left in 'em, so I'm gonna try and get Cory to take 'em off my hands and run the life out of them.

What can I say, I had a great couple of runs today. The car is the best it's ever been.

Anyway, I was again very impressed with the Seccs Crew, it's greta to have everyone out there. Now, make sure you're there next weekend. Your's Truly Matt R and Sperry are in charge, and the course will be SWEEEEEEEET!

Turn out was great. Glad everyone had fun.

Thanks all who let me play inthere cars. I had a blast driving 10 or so different cars this weekend. Much more fun than driving mine.

For all you noobs, you did a great job. Glad all of us could help. Don't hesitate to ask us to ride with you, or to ask for rides. At the same time, no one is/should be offended if someone wants to drive alone.

If you run in the morning, and somebody else runs in the afternoon, don't be surprised to have a bunch of wanna be ridders, I mean instructors...

Some of you couple season guys are getting fast. It's getting real hard to match or beat your times in your cars with only a run or two, but it sure is fun to try.

Keep your eyes moving, and your hands and feet slow and you will be fast.

Have a great season. Hope to see you all next weekend for more fun.

Thank you EVERYONE! It was an awesome time! I don't think I've ever had that much fun for only 35 bucks!!!!!

I really appreciate all the help that everyone gave. Everybody who rode in my car, or drove, (Dean) really helped my along! I learned a LOT, and saw improvement in my car control, and thus, my times!

Thank you all again! See you there next Saturday!

Wow what a great weekend ! I had a great time ! definatly a good value!! Its cool to see so many sports cars all in 1 place. Thanks a LOT to everyone for helping me. i don't quite have everyone's name straight and i had a lot of help. help with changing my tires, Tire pressure, leaving the spare tire out, tire chalk, Lines, hand placement , where to look, etc. I had quite a few instructors (THANKS) and Mike sure drove my car really really fast. WOW i asked to see what the car could do and he sure showed me. (think i'm still in awe of what a great driver can do with my car)
So we can have instructors in our cars for runs that count for points? sweet. I'de like as much instruction as i can get please ! I really learned a lot, but mostly i learned how much i Don't know. I was a bit suprized and humbled @ my lack of driving skills. lots of Grow room i supose can't wait until next weekend

Pretty cool to read these posts, reminds me of how it was when it was new and helps boost my own enthusiasm level as well. Be sure to pass along a thank you to the event chairs & organizers as well, it takes alot of effort to put these events on, and is always nice to hear the effort was appreciated.

Also, for those of you that are interested in the inner workings of SCCA and would like to participate in running the club, the 1st wednesday of every month is the SCCA General Meeting. 6pm at Austin's Restaurant (corner of Longley & S. Virginia).

This wednesday is the next meeting! Be aware however that the meeting can get laden down in boring club minutia on occation, but if you think you can take a little boredom feel free to show up and voice your input to the club. The SCCA is in dire need of some "fresh blood" and new ideas from new autocrossers. We'd love to see some of you new drivers take more than a passing interest in the organization.

I'm sure you'll have no problem getting a lift to the site next weekend, and if you're lucky you can find somebody to let you co-drive...

And yeah, workign without running is pretty hardcore. You rule.

I got sunburnt on Saturday...no so much on Sunday, but I didn't show up until 11:30 am.

Would I have to pay if I only worked and co-drove? I didn't get to ride along with any of you pros...seems like a good idea.

I didn't get sunburnt (sun-screen FTW) but I did get a pretty decent case of wind-burn on Saturday... Sunday not so much.
