Deal, did somebody say Deal? Oh, Dean, yeah that's me.
Default 2 Day driving school at Thunderhill Jan. 12-13 (Deal for noobs???)

Yes, it is time for the annual weekend Audi club driver education and safety seminar at Thunderhill (1 hour north of Sac.)

This year there is a killer deal for first timers at Audi Club events. Each instructor can sponsor up to 2 new students who will get a free club membership ($44 value) and I'll split the $100 discount I get, so $50 off the event fee! (I may be able to find other instructors willing to split with you if more than 2 want to go.) Right now, they are saying Audi driver's only, but I am working to get this changed to AWD drivers.

IMHO, Thunderhill is probably the best teaching/learning track on the West coast, the Audi Club instructors are very good and know AWD cars!

Quick Info:

When: Fri. night January 11th-Sunday the 13th
Location: Thunderhill Raceway in Willow, CA
Includes: 2 days instruction in class and on-track, BBQ Fri. night, banquet Sat. night, Lunch both days, gas cards and other goodies
Fee: $425

More info and registration...

There are cheaper hotels (Super 8 and Motel 6) than the official hotel.

Post or PM any questions or if you want the noob deal.

Subbies are definitely welcome, it is just a question if I can get the discount/kick back or not for newbies.

Late fees usually start 14 or 30 days before the event.

Great event.

A little wet from rain the night before on the morning of day 1 which is always good to keep the students a little humble.

As usual recently, I was in charge of the advanced students in class and on track. This time I showed my video immediately after the session so they could see what they were doing. This went over real well and the improvement from the first session in the dry to the first of the afternoon day 2 is obvious.

A couple new S5s and '08 TTs. 4 Subarus including 3 instructors and Cale in his Lgt.

Cale just can't stop smiling... At the banquet Sat. he said it had been the best day of his life. By Sunday he had a new best day with a close second.

Laguna Seca is coming up in March 1-2! I'll post details in another thread. That event will sell out quickly, so register early if you want to go. I think I can get a deal for noobs again.

Dean, I really appreciate you taking care of Cale over the weeknd, I knew he'd have a great experience and I think it's exactly what he needed.
