More when they come in, but this deal rocks, so I thought I'd post it now. These guys have rocking deals on brake rotors. I am getting a full set of Cenrtic fronts and rears for a 02 WRX shipped for $92. ($41 F, $26 R, $25 ship) This is the best i could find between Froogle, eBay, Nasioc, and I-Club. While talking to Jeff, I asked about '05-06 STI. And he said $112 each black/blank, and $126 black/sloltted. According to MikeK that is a screaming deal. I stole this from the I-Club thread. http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...ght=wrx+rotors Quote:

Those guys rule. ProParts is the retail/parts business side of TriPoint Engineering. I've had a few PM discussions with Jeff on the Miata board, he's a good dude.

They're here... 50lbs worth of brakes in 3 days for $25. Not bad. They look nice. Shiny freshly ground rotors. I wonder if I should replace the emergency brake shoes while I'm doing the rears. Anybody ever done those?

Given the lack of miles (hopefully) that you drive with the ebrake on, they're unnecessary. They will likely show virtually zero wear when you pull the rotors off.

e-Brake turns baby... I'm putting some Porterfield R4 shoes in yo... I'll check them while I'm there. I get 11-12 notches vs the manual's 7-8, but that is probably just a small amount of wear, and some cable stretch assuming it was done right at the factory. If they are fine, I'll just pull the center console and adjust the cable.

Dean, you should be able to go pretty much the life of the car w/o replacing the e-brake shoes. Just adjust the cable like you're supposed to.

Yeah, shoe wear shouldn't be enough to cause handle misadjustment.

Sad news: StopTech is no longer selling to the public. So, at the recommendation of StopTech I contacted ProParts USA in Canoga Park, CA. Jeff helped me out by sending me a replacement set of brake lines (mine were rubbed to the rubber ) and honored StopTech's sponsorship discount on the order! He also added a set of Hawk HT-14 pads at cost so I could try them out on the time trials car. I'm hoping they work about as good as the DTC-70's I'm currently running but at a much lower price since they're Hawk's "old" pad formula. So, a big +1 to ProParts as a StopTech vendor. Being willing to pick up where StopTech left off w/ a discount and to work with someone with an at-cost set of pads to try out on the car means I'm going back there when it's time to put in my annual $1000 order of pads, rotors, and fluid. Bump. I just remembered I spent a lot of time talking to these guys about Konis back when I was still going to make my Miata a track car. Good people, and IIRC I bought some brake stuff there too.
