$6500 best offer 1998 2.5 RS Arcadia Green (unicorn!) 120,712 miles on chasis~2000 miles on rebuilt engineNew water pump, timing belt, timing belt tensioners etc, new radiator and hoses ~3000 miles on all parts listed below. Have all receipts for parts (might take a while to find them) and install done by Alfa Subaru in Sacramento Performance: Brullen equal lenght stainless steel coated 4 into 1 header Magnaflow hi flow cat (stainless steel i believe) no check engine light two custom 02 sensors installed to fit 5zigen stainless steel midpipe and fireball exhaust Perrin light weight pulley STI grp. N engine and transmission mounts Redline tranny fluid/differential fluid Kartboy short shifter, bushings, knob, exhaust hangers Original exhaust to pass smog included Heavy duty clutch Handling: StI grp. N top hats Koni yellow adjustable inserts Prodrive P1 Springs Goodridge Braided stainless steel brake lines Motul Super blue hi temp brake fluid Brembo (i think, these were on when i bought the car) slotted/cross drilled rotors Ebc red stuff ceramic pads (new) Whiteline steering bushing WRX rear sway bar Kumho Ecsta ASX high performance all seasons (not super sticky, but fun enough) 500 miles Exterior: Version 5 front lip with fogs, paint matched Black side spats Black impreza front "bra" Stereo:Alpine CDA9856 Head unitI integrated ipod caple into glove box (plug ipod in and control through stereo, includes text) 4 kenwood 6.5" kfc1680ie 240watt 2 way speakers 400 watt kenwood amp mounted under passenger seat powering these speakers 2 12" 1000 watt kenwood typhoon subs in custom box in trunk 800 watt alpine amp mounted to rear of box powering subs all necessary fuses and hardware used, professionally installed. have receipts May also include (depending on price) cobb cold air intake (not installed) prodrive shift knob whiteline anti lift kit (not installed) or i can sell those separately Probably forgetting some other mods, but those are what i can remember right now Car is in great shape. I drive it about 5 miles a day, as I work a mile from home. Has never been raced or tracked or auto x'ed. Bought a new Tacoma and want a snowmobile which is why i am selling. I have put 25,000 miles on it in 5 years. Previous owner was an older gentleman. There are two dings on it, shown in pictures. They are small. There is a small tear in the drivers side seat on the seam, easily repaired. Car also has the stock alarm system in it with beeper remote. The drivers side electric lock just stopped working, so i do that manually. It's probably just a fuse. AC needs to be recharged, and the last time i did that it was $40. Other than that, all the performance mods are very recent. The Koni shocks have about 200 miles on them. The car handles very well and is set up to be very predictable. You can dial in the shocks for it to behave however you want, but i have it setup for spirited road driving (not harsh, but handles like a go kart). Pretty fast for a NA car with the header, hi flo cat and exhaust. Car needs to be smogged, and will not pass with all the hi flow stuff on there. I have the original header and performance brullen stainless steel axle back muffler bought from subaru that i can include so you can smog it if you want (live in california). Or, i will have it put back on and do it for an additional $200 or whatever that costs me. Pics coming shortly once i figure out how to imbed them! or i can email them to you upon request. There are a bunch more pictures. If someone can use the attached zip file and imbed them, I'd appreciate it as I'm pretty dumb at this. Also, I could email them to someone if they could imbed them that way. Thanks, Mark |

Great car. Too bad Alfa's & Subaru's was the last place to touch it though.

Thanks! I don't think there are any mechanical problems with the car anyway, and none that would have been caused by the above mentioned shop. Had the anti lift kit removed and that solved the harsh clunking noise. I don't want the above post to discourage any buyers. I'll be glad to let anyone have it checked out by whatever shop they like. Mark Last edited by markcjr; 2009-11-11 at 02:00 PM. |

So at a comparison to a WRX how would it perform? Speed? Handling?

Slower, but similar handling to a WRX with similar mods. It would feel faster under 45 mph or so.

Anyone is welcome to come up for a drive. We can go up old highway 40 to Sugarbowl. I've got a guy coming up from Fresno to check it out today at 3. It handles very well, really tight. It's definately not as fast as a wrx, but it feels pretty quick. The handling makes up for it though.
