WTB heatshield...and part out heads up - Subaru Enthusiasts Car Club of the Sierras

I am putting my WRX back to stock, and I need two things.

A 2006 WRX hoodscoop splitter, I modded mine to fit over a 2008 STi intercooler, so if anybody wants to trade for a splitter that fits a bigger TMIC let me know. I'm not sure if earlier year WRX splitters work because the stock 06 TMIC was tiny.

Also, I need a stock downpipe/turbo heatshield. I modded my stocker to fit over a bellmouth downpipe and would like to bolt a stock one up to the stock downpipe.

KW V1 coilovers for 5x100 bolt pattern
Rallitec F/R swaybars with rear endlinks and rear hard mounts
17x8 5Zigen FN01R-C wheels in Bronze with some toasted Kumho Ecsta MX tires
VF39 turbo that I ran for maybe 1000 miles
2008 STi TMIC

Nothing is off my car yet, I haven't had time with school ending. This is just a heads up. I will make a proper part out thread with pictures when I am all done.

Nick, when the time comes, I have an 05 STi downpipe and heatshield that might work. If the price is right on the VF-39 I might be interested.

I still think you are 100% crazy for parting out a known car that is set up nice, but hey, if you have the $$ and really want the STi then good luck. I would really take your time in selecting a used one, though.

Sorry I didn't get back to everyone sooner. The VF39 is up in the air at the moment. But I will post it up for sale as soon as I decide.

Cody if you want the wheels, how would bronze look on yellow? If you decide we can work on price.

I am trying to find an STi that I want before I start parting out my car, I am just waiting for school to end so I have some more time on my hands to part my car out.

Okay, I am taking everything off the car next weekend. I still could use an air splitter, I'm not sure if the 04-05 WRX ones will fit but I am willing to compare. Turbo probably won't be for sale but the TMIC will be. I will get pics up next week.

Okay, so the wheels are for sure going. I will post pics tomorrow. Coils and sways are staying on the WRX my buyer wants to keep them.

The 39 will be for sale, I'm not sure for how much because Pete may actually be selling them. Also, I believe he will be selling a JIC Ti Catback exhaust (angled can BigRob!

) but it's got a ton of oil in it and needs to be burned off or cleaned out.

I have my 08 STi TMIC and bracket too and I will let that go for $150 because I broke a bolt off on the front, that holds those hard lines on it and I couldn't get it out with an extractor.

Let me know if you are interested in anything.

Here are the pics of wheels and TMIC. I forgot to add that I also have a 2006 WRX front splitter replica that I am willing to sell. It's black and unpainted and took a few good scrapes in Reno but it is still structurally whole. I will probably also sell my stock swaybars. Anybody who wants to check anything out let me know.

The extent of any damage on the wheels, its a little scratching from changing wheels. And 5Zigen paint isn't the sturdiest

This is the bolt that was broken off in the TMIC

The guy who sold me the TMIC had it tapped for boost and Meth, so I plugged the holes with plugs and sealed them with JB weld, I never had an issue

The other plug

Hard lines were painted red, and the TMIC is a little dirty on top because it was on a 2008 STi when its motor popped.

The 06/07 splitter (same on both WRX & STI) is basically the same as the 04/05 STI-only, but not the 02-05 WRX which will bolt up but is not the same size/height. I have one or two of them that you need. PM me...

I thought you said, "do you still need that hacked up heat shield" ...because I know that you wanted one back in exchange for the one you gave me. So, yes I have the heat shield that I cut up and no longer need, it will fit a bellmouth downpipe. I put yours on my car and it works great, thanks again lol
