It wasn't written as being common at a significant amount of miles, it was written as a fix among Subaru's, new and old. I wouldn't say it is common at 80k, just unlucky. If my car had 400k, it would still be the same issue :-/

LMK if you have an interest in doing a Part out and selling it as a shell. I would love to get a spare shell for rally.
you could sell all the interior and power train , I'de just need a rolling chassis . if there's a work-able solution where you can sell a rolling shell for around 400-600 (guess you'de need to get 3500 in part out for power train + interior) just tossing out ideas
