Microsoft Update
For anybody running windows, MS has released their patch for a major hole in their graphics engine early.
I strongly reccomend running windows update, and installing all critical patches ASAP... Standard Disclaimer applies. If you do this, and blow $4|+ up, don't come looking for me.

Our IS department sent out an email telling us to leave our PCs on tonight and this weekend so they can run the updates. Which is funny 'cause I always leave my PC on.

A hole in their graphics engine? Sheesh.
And if my PC hasn't blown up in the 4 1/2 years that I've been using XP Pro, I figure I'll be ok for another day.

Be aware that by graphics engine, I mean the engine that displays images from the Internet, including all the ones on this and every other web site. Yes, it requires a melicious web site/image, and some user interaction, but nothing that unusual, so....
