Car: 2012 Toyota Tacoma Class: ? | Brake Duct Install

I purchased the RaceComp Engineering Kool Brake Kit. The install went pretty well, I cut out the fender liner slightly, routed the supplied hose up to a Racer WHolesale stock air inlet, and mounted it so that I can run either the stock Fog Light cover with the small air slit, or the Fog light bezels, which direct a lot more air in . I can even run it without any bezel for max air flow. The tire runs slightly on the hose at full lock, so I may try to re route the hose, I will see how bad it runs once I drive it a little bit. Overall though, Racecomp made some nice pieces for this kit. Here are some pictures.

Siick i was just talking to Cody about doing that to my car a few days ago. (although i'm only willing to use the slits below my fog lights) fog lights come in handy quite a bit , guess in summer i'de be okay with out them. |

I was checking out their thread on Nabisco and noticed a post where they mention making a kit for the bugeye models that would utilize the little slits below the fogs as the inlet. I'll have to check and see if they've got that one developed yet. Any idea if brake ducts are ESP legal? http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...c#post12992139 |

Niice i should look into getting some of those . wonder if they vent water/ snow back also , could make the discs getting wet problem even worse in STI's . if i run into any heat issues though this summer i'll definalty set something up

Just curious Matt if you are concerned about sand, gravel etc rocketing onto the rotors or should you have some type of screen or diverter on there?

As an aerospace engineer that hose and 90 kink make me cringe. I'm sure it works fine and is more than adequate though. Pretty cool.

No, I wil modify the stock fog light covers to seal up and allow no air or water in. On the track, I'm not too concerned about it. I don;t want a screen on there to limit more air.
