Can anyone here reccomend a good place to have a new windshield installed? It seems to me to be something that could cause lots of problems if it was not done correctly, i.e. leak.

As a warning -- if your windshield is hot don't use the washer fluid. Evaporating methanol on hot glass causes cracks. Got a nice one right across my field of vision now... Thanks. |

I just had my windshield replaced a couple of weeks ago by Safelite Autoglass. After getting the authorization from my insurance on Wed., I called them, on Thursday they showed up at my house & did the install. I understand they'll go to your work/office location too, if you needed that instead.

I had both the WRX and the SVX's glass replaced by Triumph Autoglass. Mike did the WRX and was a cool guy... the guy that did the SVX did a decent job, but was kind of a tweaker... I can't remember his name though. Either way, Truimph was painless and quick.
