Just remember the heads are aluminum and you should only install or remove threaded things from aluminum when it is cold, or the risk is even higher that you will stip the threads.

Let's not forget that spark plugs aren't the only thing that can cause a misfire code. There's a few possibilities, i.e. fuel injectors, PLUGS, coils, even all the way down to the ecu itself.

I don't know if there are any common problems with any of these parts, just saying diagnosis is generally cheaper than just throwing parts at it and hoping it gets fixed.

All true.. but spark plugs are cheap insurance considering it was a used car he just picked up.

Default CEL SCAN

I Have an Auto XRAY with plugs for just about any car :: Ford, GM (Pre OBDII) and of course anything OBDII. Just in case anyone ever needs a scan. I can also live monitor most sensors and data log with time. Then produce graphs. So If you want the exact conditions that your vehicle is causing a miss, let me know.

Over the weekened I will change the plugs, see whats going on. I am not much of a let someone else do it if I have to pay for it. I have been turning wrenches on other kinds of cars for years, so I really should get an up close and personal look at this one.

Renoguy, I might contact you later this weekend if I could.
Cory sorry I missed you on Saturday, I was in friggen baseball meetings all day. Let me know when you work again.
