Don't know about 04s, but Debbie had pretty good luck in 02 dealing with the Reno "internet" guy, dealing from true invoice from one of the Internet sources. And there was minimal BS since it was all decided before she ever stepped foot in the dealership.
Given the now relative glutt of WRXs, I would expect you can get into one for somewhere between $300-$1000 over invoice.

Yeah, sorry, it's been a while since anyone bought a new one. I would guess 22k or so.

I got my 04 at Lithia for invoice in May. It just sort of happened (wasn't planning on buying for 6 months).
If you can hold off for 6 mo, you can join the IMBAA (Mountain Biking Association) and get any Subaru except the STI for invoice. |

04 wrx
got my 04 wrx last september from lithia reno. paid too much. but i had a trade in so they couldnt really cut me a deal. if you go in and talk to them, they might sell one too you for a few hundred over msrp, if you have cash. if you want too finance they cant really give you a deal. cash is the only way to go...youve got the most leverage. if your serious, walk in say youve got cash and see what they do. carson might actually be the best place. lithia sells a ton of cars(and they sell a lot to people that walk in and pay whatever they are asking...msrp+dealer mark up+options), so someone like us that wants a deal dosnt really appeal to them. just putting in my two sents.

Welcome to the board!
KBB reports invoice price on the sedan as $22,586, +$550 destination chg. which is non-negotiable from what I understand. If you can get the price at 1-3% over invoice, you're doing really well. Of course, the add-ons will be on top of that price. Good luck! Whatever you get, bring it out to the meet ok? -dk |
