I think the steering rack bushings and hood scoop put you in Street Mod unfortunately.

Yeah the steering rack bushings knock you out of both SP and ST and into SM, as does the hood. The brakes bump you out of SP and STS, into STX. All the exterior stuff is legal in STX I think.
However, I don't think anybody would mind if you ran either DSP or STX. The upsized brakes don't compensate for the extra weight of your bling.

Actually, in STS/STX you can add body-kit type stuff as long as you don't have to remove factory stuff to install it. i.e. skirts/bumpers are okay as long as they fit over the stock bits. However, you can't install the grill because you have to remove the factory one to install the new one.
Street Prepared explicitly forbids sideskirts. Plus the brakes are illegal in SP. However, both those mods are fine in STS.

So, hypothetically, where the hell would I be?
97 Legacy '02 WRX front seats Momo Daytona Carbon, 350mm Morette headlights (Hella projector low beams, Hella driving pattern highs) Ground Control coilover sleeves- F: 450#, 6" linear springs R: 450#, 6" linear springs V5 struts w/ '05 STi inserts Whiteline rear swaybar links (18mm stock bar) Whiteline rear strut tower bar (F) Stoptechs, ST40's (R) Axxis Ultimate pads, Power Slot rotors, stock size 17x7.5, ET48 Rota Actions, Bronze 225/45/17 Bridgestone RE070's Borla SS headers Apex'i N1 2.5 inch header-back w/ hi-flo cat. Potentially an ALK and steering rack bushings (I know those toss me into SM, if not beyond) What about the drivetrain swap?

Aaron, I think you're in STS.
Steering rack bushings, and/or drivetrain swap bump to SM. ALK bumps to Modified. Edit: the steering wheel may be illegal since your stock wheel had an airbag... I think wheels are unlimited unless they've got an SRS, in which case you can't replace 'em... but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Street mod, without even looking Aaron. Actually, if you ran stock brakes, you'd probably be SP legal now that I look at it. And upon further review, you can run STX, because brakes are unlimited there. ALK technically bumps you into Street Unlimited or Prepared. I got away with it because my car was hopelessly uncompetitive in SM regardless. The drivetrain swap obviously bumps you into SM.

I thought STS and STX rules were the same, just the cars allowed were different. In which case brakes are unlimited as long as they attach to the stock location.

STX also limits you to 8" wide wheels.

Thanks for the help guys. So I guess I won't get competitive with the car in STX or SM, since I'll be up against all the turbo Subarus (or worse). So I guess I'll just continue to have fun driving my car at autocross, and just RNP like I've been doing.

As far as I'm concerned, you could run TDSP or STX all year long if you want. You won't beat many of us in street tire, but you'll be somewhat competitive. You won't feel buried in PAX like you would in SM.

I'm not really too worried about it, as often as I get to go I won't have enough events to be competetive anyways.
