Default A couple pics from the Recaro Tuning Event at Hockenheimring *More pics added*

Yesterday I spent the entire day at Hockenheimring drooling over cars (and girls). There was everything, drag racing, freestyle moto-x, drifting, actual racing, car shows, Miss Recaro contest ect. I even got a ticket to ride in a Drift Taxi from a friend that has her hand in every automotive event in Western Europe. The whole day was awesome.

I've got almost 150 pictures but I've filled up my web space so here a couple pictures from the padock area.

These three were the cars Bilstein had on display.

^That BMW is no joke...

Hamann didn't flaunt their stuff, actually I found these between cluster of trailers.

More!

Some American bling

More from the padock/pit area

The loudest color ever

One of the many Subarus for one of the driving schools they offer

Lastly, I saw this at the gas station leaving Hockenheim. Note the Radio Flyer in the background

Beg, borrow, and steal to get to that race if you can. F1 is absolutely *amazing* in person.

At other events, I've been up close and personal w/ CART cars, ALMS prototypes, Daytona prototypes, NASCAR cup cars, IHRA top fuel dragsters, D1 drift cars, JGTC cars, Speed GT/TC touring cars, Grand Am cup cars, etc, etc, etc, and *nothing* comes even close to sitting in the stands 200 yards from the track when F1 cars go by. They are unreal. I'd *kill* to get into the pits at an F1 race and see those things close up.

I got confirmation on the ticket prices. It's 40 euro for a standing-only ticket for the practice sessions! For a non-covered seat with a horrible view on race day is 240 euro!

Oh yeah? Well, I flew to Montreal (on American... blech), plus rented an apartment, plus got screwed on the exchange rate, plus the cost of tickets to see the race, plus the shit I had to buy when the airline lost my luggage coming back. So, I spent like $2000 US, what's that in Euros? I'm sure it's more than 280 Euros! Suck it up!

That's true but I've got limited funds at the moment due to mods.
