1994 sti ra and 1997 type r 0.60 times???
im new to the impreza thing and like to know as much as i can! i dont just want 2 bye any sti. sumthing alittle different i.e the early ra or at a strech a type r. plz could u you guys help wiv the spec of these 2 cars? i.e o.60 times top speed bhp torque good bad points? anything will be really helpfull. thanks.

Since they've never sold those cars here, you'll find that info isn't quite readily available. How do you plan on importing either of those cars to the US?

He doesn't. From what I can see, he's in the UK.
Tom, this is a local California/Nevada board; the US didn't get turbo Imprezas until '02, so we never had the old body styles. Check out http://scoobynet.co.uk, they should be able to get you sorted with respect to some of the specs you're looking for. The RA will be a bit lighter, and the earlier cars had a more bulletproof closed-deck motor, but had a peakier turbo (VF22 as opposed to a VF30).
