Default How can I disable email notification of new posts?

I have clicked everything imaginable in my profile and options, but can't get new post notifications to stop going to my email. Is this just how it is, or am I still as e-tarded as ever? Wait...don't answer the second question, just the title question.

Go to your profile, go to your subscriptions. Then either delete all your subscribed threads, or change their subscription type to "No Notification". Also, in your Profile Options you can select the default subscription type so you don't end up w/ a bunch of subscriptions in the future as your reply to threads.

First, disable automatic subscription by going to:
http://www.seccs.org/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions

Scroll down a bit for Default Thread Subscription Mode. Change that from Instant E-mail notification to No E-mail notification or Do not subscribe.

Next, you'll want to unsubscribe from all of your currently subscribed threads.

Go to: http://www.seccs.org/forums/subscription.php?

And click unsubscribe under the thread you want to stop recieving mail from.
