My Dad was given this not working notebook. He tired to update it but it bricked.

We took it to the Apple place and the nerds put Leopard on it and it seems to run fine. The superdrive is not working. Don't know how much that we be to fix. Maybe just buy a freestanding drive? The nerds at the store said this one was the fast version of the model.

It's pretty quick with the itunes and what not. Can I take my itunes files from my desktop and put on the G4? I don't have a USB drive on me or I would try it right now.

I like it. so far.

Yeah, you can move the mp3s from your desktop to the laptop, provided you have the necessary cabling or usb drives.

Kind of surprised they put Leopard on it. Tiger is probably a better fit for a G4 depending on model and RAM, but whatever.

You can move them, but using iTunes, you cannot sync with more than 1 machine at a time. There are 3rd party apps as an option.

Superdrive may be fixable. How did they install Leopard without it? External Drive?

I can help you copy/move stuff or loan you a USB drive if you want.

Yeah they installed it by external drive

My Dad bought Leopard for a decent price, didn't know any better at the time?

I have 6.5GB to move I can try to do it with my 1GB shuffle, not complaining just saying.

I'm loving the "instant on" from sleep this thing has, do all apples do that? It also seems to fly on the internet.

My old laptop took a minute or so even when it was brand new with no crap on it.
