Bad News! - Subaru Enthusiasts Car Club of the Sierras

So I was cruising down Mt. Rose highway and my engine blew two holes into the top of my block.
I know it wasn't oil starvation as a ton of it shot out.
It really sucks though since I don't have money at this moment in time to get a new motor.

I can give you a spare shortblock pretty cheap (that will need a rod bearing fixed) but I'm not sure if it will work on your Phase I heads.

I don't think I can use it all with my ecu.

I said shortblock, so the ECU doesn't matter. The trouble is I think that it's incompatible with your heads.

Nah, the one I bought from DS1 a few months ago and ended up not needing. More accurately, not needing to spend the rebuild money on it.

SOHC. EJ251 shortblock with a spun bearing. I suspect it would actually work fine for you if you use your EJ25D pistons- which may or may not be the right size for the block I've got.
