Okay, here is my serious contribution...

1986 Kenworth T600 Aero.

This truck was the first to use the slope-nosed aerodynamic design common in almost every make of truck on the road today. Nicknamed Aardvark, Slop-nose and Ant-Eater, it wasn't well recieved by the trucking community in its early years, but as the aerodynamic design improved fleet's fuel milage, people got on board. The T600 line is still made today, almost 20 years later, and has been one of the most successful lines for the Kenworth nameplate.

Along the lines MattR started, the iBot self-balancing wheelchair.

It's the pre-cursor to the Segway thingy. It self-balances in 2 wheel mode, operates like a normal 4 wheel chair, and can even climb stairs.

I'm gonna go get a spinal cord injury just so I can roll around in one of these pimp-ass chairs.

While the 22b is truly, genuinely badass, way up on all of our lists of cars to buy after we win the Powerball drawing... it wasn't really groundbreaking. It was an evolution of technologies and ideas being developed by the WRX, STi, and Evolution. Same for the 360- it's cool retro-mpbile now, but didn't create any significant changes in the automotive world when it was introduced.
