I could answer most of your questions about that kind of thing, seeing as I have to deal with it all the time with my '95

Updated original post, and another question here:

I've seen Impreza wagons (WRX & non-WRX) with these rear spoiler-looking items on the top and middle of the hatch. I've poked around and found almost no info on these accessories. Soo........does anybody know if the WRX ones would fit the 98-01 Imprezas? I guess I'd need to find one at an auto wrecker or something as the dealer prices seem to be like $300-$500.

PS --- The meets pics look cool again! Next time I make it, I'll try to shoot a bunch of digital as well......I need to contribute something, anyway!

You mean like this?

The lower deck spoiler? Its actually a factory part, I think the 2000/2001 Outback Sports had them on their trucks, or at least as an option (I have seen them on wagons occasionally). Its a GC specific item, I wouldnt use a 02+ part for it.

Yeah, except when I show my wife the picture, she likes the top one (I think the GC ones are smaller than that one) with no lower one. Go figure. I'd probably still drop the lower spoiler on if I came across one....

Finally got some wheels --- actually the ones that JC suggested. I like 'em.

Also, picked up a WRX wagon sway bar and links (free!). Will be installing that "when I get to it".

So far, so good!

Nothin wrong with stock RS wheels! If I'd had the spare money, I might have grabbed them for winter wheels myself.

Yep. On a trip a couple weeks ago to the Sonoma Coast. It's still stock in the pic, of course.

On a sad, somewhat related note, I just sold the red wagon to Nate's sister-in-law.

Momonet of silence for the turbo wagon.

That's enough, now, I need to start planning/sourcing the swap for the OB

Installed a factory cruise control over the weekend! (entire factory kit on special $60 from subaruparts.com  )

Sweet!

No, I didn't get blasted by the airbag during disassembly, either (you can bet I took my glasses off though, battery disconnect or no).

I like to smash my airbag w/ a deadblow hammer every time I have the wheel apart...

...that's right, I live on the edge!!!!

I always use a deadblow. Last time I did it, I used a crowbar attached to the positive lead of the battery, just in case.......

Scotty, buy these now. I can't believe they aren't gone already, they are stupidly hard to find.

I guess it's pretty easy to see how they will look on your car, from that picture.

No orange > orange, no matter what car. Unless, uh, your car is orange. I guess.

Wow, so many cool things.....I really like that spoiler style. I came across those tail lamps about a week ago, but was turned off by the $$ . Problem is, that cosmetic stuff at those kinds of prices is lower on the list than functional items such as brakes, seats, and maybe some suspension stuff. Remember, the upgrade budget is being kept low given the value of the car to start with...... :?

Haha, yes, I know the thread title says "light mods" --- lamps should be first on the list, right?
