The best convincing you can do is to pay my entry fees.

It's not a matter of wanting to go, it's a matter of affording it. Hell, as it is I'm buying a transmission I can't actually afford. Plus tires, fuel, hotel, etc. It's not looking very likely.

Will do Matt...

To reinforce what Matt said about instructors...

The Audi club typically has 20-50 rank novices who have never done anything but drive their car at normal speeds on the street at every event at every venue.

We are heavily geared around meeting the needs of these drivers! Making their experience SAFE, enjoyable, and a learning experience are paramount so they will want to come back.

There is also an instructor in your passenger seat every second you are on the track, and prior to you driving the track you have exercises to get you in the right mode, and orientation laps with your instructor driving your car at 50% with you in the passenger seat. There is also time during instructor run groups for you to ride with them in their cars.

The Audi club puts on these events at pretty much every track on the east and west coast a number of time a year. There is no bad track to learn on, despite what Kevin thinks, as long as you are willing to learn, and leave your ego at home.

I highly reccomend any of these events to pretty much everyone, including you Sergio!

I understand. Laguna is the most expensive track in N. CA to run an event at as I recall.

Dean did I read day 1 correctly. Novice group only has exercises in the morning and no track time at all on the first day? What do the novice groups do in the afternoon?

I'm hopeful it's a typo. I can't imagine there would be nothing scheduled for the afternoon.

Yeah, but I remember you saying something about this probably won't be quite as expensive?

I think I'll pass on a $1000++ weekend that will probably be in the rain.

I think on short notice, they are worried about filling the event, and getting sponsors.

Putting on a 2 day event with banquet, track food, and safety equipment is a bit more expensive than a RFR TNL day.

No excuse, it is what it is. Sorry if I missled you.

I thought you said something about the last-minute-ness meaning that prices would be a bit lower than the normal Audi @ Seca prices. Instead it's about $100 more, IIRC!

No big deal, since I can't afford to go even if it was $325.

If I had the money, I'd be there in a heart-beat... just to get the chance to drive a few laps at Seca.

I just can't afford the entry fee, tires, fuel, food, hotel, and time off work.

Yes it is expensive................but our one day track event at RFR was $200. This is two days, with dinners included and that track for $25 more. I still may go as long as I can see what the first day afternoon will be comprised of.
