I exagerated a bit. She is up just above Northgate, and the Mormon Tabernacle.

Maybe 'base of Peavine' is a better visual - off of Beaumont, but there's a portion that seems steep - places where I could picture not being able to make the car stop, and plowing into the curb on the right, or the landscaping in the middle. Since Tirerack doesn't carry the right size in the ws50's, I think I'm going to try the Blizzak Revos this year.

So by "within spitting distance" you mean 5 miles and 3000 verticle feet. You must be a *much* better spitter than I.

OK, OK... Form Mae-Anne, it just feels like you go uphill forever... It is probably only a couple hundred feet, but in a winter like last year, those are some pretty steep narrow streets tha I'm betting don't get plowed for jack.

Tell me about it. I live up near there and my street didn't get plowed for at least a month after those big storms. We had about 2' of compacted snow on it.

Hey I had 5 ft in 4 days in an apartment complex, NW next to Kmart, you should have seen my lil lowered Honda trying to sled around in that crap. THANK GOD for my Subaru! Has any one driven out to Somerset yet, thats like driving to Verdi. I did see a nice Black RS with Kabina on the plates though.

I used to live at 1590 Sky Valley, in the Southridge Apts until August of this year, now I live all the way at the back of Sun Valley. We run the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Softball League in SV, and it didnt make sense to drive back and forth 6 days a week, the gas was killing us. But that is the old neighborhood, I spend alot of time up there.

If TireRack hadn't gotten 2 more sets of Dunlops M3s in last week, I would have gotten some LM25s most likely.

Actually I ordered some M3s last year and Luke McTirerack called to tell me they were out and sold me on the blizzaks.

I have a set of M2s for the wifes benzo. But I haven't needed those since getting the suby.

I snagged the last pair of M3s in 205/55/16s for my stock rims from Tirerack. Everything I've heard sounds like they are awesome. I'm totally relying on Scott's "three season tire" comment, but I don't think I'll be disapointed.

So, we've got some real snow now. Chains or snow tires required from Dayton to Carson.

Since I just moved, I haven't been able to pick up a set of snows yet. . . but the re92s have the M+S branding, so hopefully DOT and the road will be nice to me.

Off to work I go

You'll be okay on RE92s, as long as you drive like you're on RE92s.

Heh. I'd seen the Scapegoat one, but not the TFGs. Sweet

Yeah, the re92s did just fine.

I got the Blizzak Revo1's for my STi, so far I haven't had any problems. They have been great in the slush and snow.
