Did you ever post a mod list? I'm sure a lot of us would be interested in many bits and pieces.

So sorry to hear about this.

True, it is just a car, and you have your life - but as Scott alluded, it was a creation, an engineered work. That is something not recoverable.

If that driver hit you at 50mph, you really are lucky you are not dead. (Subaru safety rules!) I think the girl who rear-ended me was 'slowed' to 25-30mph, and it still totalled my car, and it still hurt like heck! I hope to God that driver has insurance that will take care of you physically. Don't overlook anything (physical ailment-wise)! I hope you start to feel better soon.

I would not reuse a harness that had been in an accident. even if visibly it looks OK, the webbing of the belt is likely no longer elastic or something. IMHO it is just not worth reusing a piece of safety equipment. Would you reuse a helmet that had impacted something? No thanks.

Come on Dean, you're telling me that you have never reused a condom?

That's different, you can turn them inside out.

Like he said, it's not a good idea to reuse those belts as-is. You can likely send them back to the mfr. to have them inspected/re-webbed though.
