A wedding that I "volunteered" to photograph. Can't believe I'm missing Solo 1 for this. Plus work wants me into all that weekend for overtime. I'm hoping to make it a short trip. Go up Friday night or Saturday morning and back saturday night. I'll have to see how that works. I might be stuck driving the crash mobile for the trip. ewww.

Solo 1 is not until Oct 2-3 you know? So you still have a week to play with.

I agree that the SDR's are the way to go if you want good winter wheels

I still think you should call Discount Tire on those MB Motorsport wheels. They are probably cheparer than the SDRs, and you can get teh whole package i none fell swoop.

Huh? You've got bronze torques, yes? And you got them fairly soon after the SDRs, right? All I'm saying is that I forgot you were rolling SDRs briefly between the stockers and torques.

And Nick's are steel grey, aren't they?

Dean,
Discount tire direct isn't selling the M3's this winter, so their out. Besides I already have the tires ordered. But getting rims for them is still a great idea! Just haven't completely decided on what to get.

out of curiousity what does everyone think of these wheels.
LINK
I like them because they look industrial, but then I can't tell what is "rice" or just plain no good.

They look kinda cool, but they're probably also very heavy. The big problem is that the offset is +38 wich is too low for a Subaru... you'll need a +50 to +55 in a 7" wide rim. There are very few affordable rims out there for Subarus, hence all the people that buy Rotas.

Ah.. I see, never my mind then :? . The set that Deans recommends is out of stock in Nevada at the moment, so I keep watching for the email back from Subydude.

The web site is not always right... Call Paul in Sparks and ask...

And they have some of the Bronze in stock in Sparks actually, just not 4 according to the web site. It only takes a day or two for them to et them from Arizona anyway... And they would probably mount the tires for free if you buy the rims.

While they don't appear to have all the sizes listed, DT does appear to be selling the M3. Again, you would have to call to verify sizer and availability...

It called the 800 DT line and them asked about M3's before I posted it. I'll check on locating the wheels, but I don't want bronze. As for mounting, its free with the tires anyways.

Thanks Dean!

The wholesale site says they have 4 of the bronze Weapons in stock right now. When they get down to 4 wheels the retail site says less than 4, just in case they sell them. If you're really against bronze, you could have gunmetal shipped from AZ in 2 days for about $8 per wheel. 17X8 with a 46mm offset sounds like it will clear the Brembos, unless the spokes are curved in too much. $99 plus tax each with the wholesale discount. If I remember the weight on these is around 19 lbs. I'd call Paul to verify that they actually have 4 there, and go get those babies and save $200 over getting new Rotas. Although if you want to drive down to Subydude's place, $400 is a steal for any of those Rotas he's got.

Alright, after much input I've decided to get Rotas from Subydude and do a pickup. I think I'm going to get gunmetal SDR's, while the gold tarmac II's are my second choice. Now to order them.

I got my wheels, their shipping is really fast less than 24 hours
.....but they forgot to include lug nuts in the packaging, so there's no way to bring them to the meet tonight.
I have no patience when it comes to buying things.

You mean aside from in your trunk? They won't fit with stock STI lugs?

Are you sure the lugs are not in one of the boxes...when Subydude sent me my last set of wheels, they had put them in one of the wheel boxes..threw me for a loop...
