Seems like most everybody in this thread likes Skylines. Those type of cars don't become icons on their own.

This car: garbage.

This car: total sex.

I think there's a WRX on this board with the same HKS SSQV BOV... it seemed to give him 280whp@17 psi... hmm...

Anywho, this is the best thread ever.

Oh, and I agree with Mike, the car is clean. The hood could take some getting used to, but it's probably functional in the form of releasing hot air from the engine bay. I'd buy it if I was on the market... again, not for $21k though

So you're saying a HKS SSQV BOV adds 120hp? Right. How 'bout this statment: "there's a WRX on this board with the same HKS SSQV BOV that's making 280hp in spite of the BOV that does nothing except increase lag between shifts and makes noise".

Ditch the body kit, tone down the hood and hoodscoop, and upgrade the lights to some EDM projectors, and I'll agree the car is "clean". But it's still woefully under-suspended and under-braked for all the crap under the hood. Also, half the crap under the hood could go and it'd still be just as fast as it probably is.

I'll tell you what that car's worth:

http://www.edmunds.com/used/2002/sub...tion=vdpresult

$13,902

but that's only if he takes off all these parts:

Quote:
Engine:
(Fully Built EJ20 Motor with forged Internals)
-JE Pistons
-Eagle Rods
-IHI VF30 Turbo (w/ modified TD04 Heatshield)
-565cc STi Pinks Injectors
-Walbro Fuel Pump
-STi Top Mount Intercooler
-HKS SSQV Bov
-Perrin Intercooler Y-pipe
-K&N Typhoon Intake (w/ K&N prefilter)
-HKS Carbon Titanium Catback Exhaust
-Perrin Divorce Downpipe
-Helix Up-pipe
-Borla Headers (w/ Heatwrap)
-ACT Heavy Duty Clutch
-ACT Pro-lite Flywheel
-Cusco front Strut bar
-STi replica rear strut bar
-Radiator Shroud
-SPT STi Short Shifter
-Cobb Access Port (Street Tuner) - Soon to be ProTuned @ MZM Performance

Interior:
-Apexi Turbo Timer
-USDM STi Cluster
-GlowShift boost and A/F Gauge
-Momo Shift Knob (Subaru Edition)
-In Dash DVD screen w/ remote (also comes with the Toshiba Notebook!!!)

Exterior:
-SPT Subaru Lip Kit
-VIS Carbon Fiber Hood
-Eibach Pro-Kit (lowering Springs)
-5Zigen Pro-N1 Rims (with brand new Bridgestone tires)
-Zero Grill (painted)
-Kicker Battery terminals
-blacked out headlights
-Window Tint
...and returns it to stock. IMO, no matter what's been done, it doesn't add value to the car. In fact it lowers the value of the car. Which is why I've still got a 2002 WRX myself... it's more cost effective to keep the car than to take the loss due to modifications if I sell it.

If I were shopping for a WRX, I'd buy this car for maybe $11,000 and only if it came with a stock hood in addition to the carbon monstrosity on it. And I'd still be worried about the quality of the car, not just because race motors have short lifespans, and not just because I don't know dick about the people that built it, but because the seller has a car with a ton of recent work (it hasn't even been tuned yet!?!) that he's so desperate to unload he's advertizing on a small board local to a town 1000 miles away.

What's funny about this situation is you are suppose to be an admin but yet, you set a horrible example for yourself. Even some of your board members mock you saying "wait.. he's an admin"? Just being on this board for less than a week, it is clear to me why they would say that.

So before you continue bopping on my knob, let me just say this. You can't beat me in a race. You obviously can't outwit me in a verbal debate. So why do you put yourself in a situation you can't win. Seriously, you're not in a RPG game, your admin powers doesn't grant you attribute in speed or intelligence.

Why do you state the obvious? Of course we all know what book value is on a car. People who modified their cars tremendously knows that people will pay more than the book value. This is called Market Value or also known as street value. You go find me a Supra or a Skyline for book value and I'll take a personal loan out without hesitating.

If this is your only point besides your opinion about my hood then I don't think you have anything worth mentioning. Btw, my hood is fully functional unlike many you see. The heat vents, release some of the heat as mentioned by sp00ln. The larger hoodscoop increases the airflow to the slightly larger intercooler.

You are absolutely correct about the suggestion about upgrading the brakes, suspension and HID headlights. Those were few of the items i was planning to upgrade, but the point to not spend anymore money.

I bought this car as a daily driver and it turned into a huge project. For anyone who has money and get into modifying and tuning, you know its very addicting. I figure there is no way I can stop unless I sell it.

Thanks Evo Mike. I could part with the car for 19,500. But I'm just fishing for a better offer which is why i started a bit high so we can negotiate down.

It's called sarcasm you dumbass. They are mocking you, not Sperry. Everyone on this board is friends, there are no jackass members or people who don't like the admin. Most of the members see each other at a weekly meet and at weekend auto-x/track events. Sperry is the Admin because he created the board to start with when all of us Reno folk got tired of the original i-club (now NASIOC, if you don't remember the good old days). So take your Fast & Furious WRX and leave, cause I'm sure no one from this board wants to buy that riced out waste of a Subaru. I hope I spelled everything right for you, since obviously have trouble comprehending what's going on here. I wouldn't want to confuse you any more than you already are.

Jesus, a guy makes one typographical error, and that becomes the cornerstone of your argument? We must be dealing with a true e-thug here, boys and girls! As others have said, you're the person we're lampooning here. Your continued inability to process that particular bit of information removes any doubts we had about the extent of your mental handicap.

Listen, pedantic-boy, the reason you're getting a negative impression about this board is that you're clueless, and you're not understanding that your attitude is what's responsible for your less-than-warm reception. You don't waltz into a local forum and try to "own" the place if you have an ounce of common sense or any interpersonal skills. Wow, you sure posted some words that put Sperry in his place......moron.

Regarding your last paragraph, I shudder at the vast extent of your ignorance. If you'd read anything on our board before dropping this steaming pile of shit in the FS forum, you'd realize almost everyone on this board is involved with amateur or professional-level motorsport on a local and national level. That's why we're laughing at your untuned timebomb on stock suspension and brakes (ooh, but those aero mods sure are choice). Even ignoring that particular lack of initiative on your part, you've now made the jump to challenging people to race to prove your superiority? Wow, that 250WHP monster is really going to whomp on worked STI's. Good call. Think anyone really gives two shits about drag racing here? Walk someone around a track or on an autocross course, and then, just maybe, we wouldn't ridicule you openly. I'm not offering any guarantees.

SupraRexer, your massively ignorant forum antics aside, let me point out a flaw in your sales strategy. A member of our board just bought an STi- bone stock- that will out brake, out turn, and out accelerate your WRX, not to mention being better looking. The price? Less than $18k. Do you still think that there's a sucker out there who will buy your $13,000 car, and pay new prices for used mods that don't really make the car all that much better? Sight unseen from another time zone? Get real dude.

Oh, and by the way- read this thread to understand exactly where you stand on this board.

Oh yeah, and Mr. Felcher, here is a clean modded WRX. Please note that it is a polar opposite to your ricebowl.
