The car's apparently okay... I guess it didn't *actually* catch fire, but shorted out pretty well, and shut down.

You've got to love people's ideas of "fixing" things...

I actually fixed it this morning, meaning I replaced to cable from the starter to the positive terminal and properly hooked up the fuse box. Oh yeah, and I got a battery tie down...

It's auto-x ready!
