Another update for you guys and ladies.. like I said I'm on R&R. Well I've managed to make it to town a few times. Doha is outstanding..such a huge contrast from AFG.. I must say that I have never seen such beautiful wemon in my life..even covered you can see it..No they don't all wear burkas many dress like US ladies..I've seen it...I don't know what it is but the other day in the mall they just kept stairing at me, well more my blue eyes...The waiter at the Applebees told me that the 3 that were in the boothe behind us were talking about me and that the one on the outside of the table was saying that I have sexy eyes...Man I don't get any action with wemon I find attractive in the states but get all the looks and complaments when I come here...WTF?! I must say all 3 of them were DAMN HOT!!! and spoke english very well..the waiter told me that the dialect and accent was most likley from Jordan.. Oh well only one more day left in Qatar, then back to shit.

It is amazing how different reality is in most countries compared to popular stereotypes.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself on your R&R. Did you get they're contact information? Will you be returning to Qatar?

What I want to know is, what's your perception of how different American reality is from popular stereotypes....

yup It is an M249..Damn fun to shoot. I have a video but I think its too large to upload.. The wind scorpion aka. cammel spider is a good size one. Its the largest we have been able to catch. We have seen bigger but did not have anything to catch it with. We put it in with another one we had, damn thing ate it right off.
Oh news flash all I should be home by the end of the month for a few weeks.

Gotcha. Seeing it from that angle, the cool buttstock makes it look like something out of a guerilla camp in Central America. Or maybe it was the gangsta-style hood. I guess the carry handle should have given it away.

I found one of those wind spiders in my parent's garage the other day - only like 3/4" long though.... I'll bet catching the big ones is a real exciting time...

Those Chinooks are cool. There was one at SLO airport last week for some reason, and I happened to be driving by right as it lifted off. It must have been unloaded, because that thing jumped up in the air almost as fast as an F15 doing a tailstand. Sweet.

does this mean you might be at a meet later in the month?

It is good to see things are still going ok for you, wish you the best of luck for the rest of your stay. I doubt you need much luck when you have that cannon in your hand

Yes I will be at the meet when I get back, don't want to get my members status pulled...It has been a while since I've made a meet. Just something, what happened to my custom title of Liz. wrangler?
If you make the meets Jonny we will meet soon enough. New members at the meets are always good..well new to me.

see you all soon.

*edit* for matt...yes that cannon is very accurate and I can drill you at 1000 yards pretty easy with it supported but I can't shoot the bastards when they fire morters and 104 rockets at us..that is just damn annoying.
