Buy it. Try it out. Return it if it won't bust your nuts.

I think my dad just bought that exact set. When I go see him today I'll try it out for you. I think the issue with trying to do wheels with it, is battery life. I will let you know.

Dang, I'd be unimpressed if it couldn't remove 20 lug nuts on one charge. I use a cheap ass Harbor Freight wireless drill now (after loosening by hand) and it can handle removing and then tightening all on one charge. I realize that's not exactly the same since it's not untightening, but it's a piece.

^You might be totally right. I really have no experience with cordless impacts.

That'd be awesome if you tried it and let me know before 5:30 tonight. I'm gonna be near HD with time to kill tonight.

I highly doubt that will break lugs off the car. My 650ftlb rated air gun sometimes won't get 'em, so there's no way something half that will reliably pull the off. Then again, I've never had good luck with any electric impacts doing anything near what they're rated for.

Plus, while the Dewalt stuff is pretty nice, I wouldn't buy anything but the newer lithium ion powered stuff. I replaced my old nicad dewalt with a li-ion dewalt and the difference is *incredible*. Batteries lasts way longer, weighs much less, and don't slow down at the end of the charge... full torque then nothing... so you get more out of each battery. Plus, no memory effect.

I have Dewalt and a Ridgid 18v impact driver, neither are strong enough for breaking loose lug nuts. They are mainly for driving screws or lag bolts, they do a better job than a standard cordless drill.

I think that's a pretty good deal for the combo set, just buying a pair of Dewalt batteries is $100.

Li-ion is a lot nicer though, I agree with Scott on that one.

Thanks. I don't get it. There are hecka cheap impact wrenches made specifically for removing and replacing lug nuts but they have to be plugged into the cigarette lighter. I think Alex got a wireless one that works well for about $150. I'm just in the market for a wireless drill and thought the impact wrench would be useful if it could remove lugs and other bolts on cars...otherwise, I'd hardly ever use it.

If you want a quality cordless drill, I think this Bosch Li-Ion for $99 is the best deal going right now. You should be able to find it locally at a Lowe's.

I ended up getting the Craftsman 200 Ft/Lb wireless impact wrench. Should work great once I get some impact sockets. It was $100 before 15% discover cashback. I also got a Craftsman Lithium Ion impact driver and wireless drill package for $50 before cashback.

I didn't realize that an impact driver is different than an impact wrench, but once I learned the difference, I realized you would never want to use an impact driver unless you were driving a wood screw or similar.

Here's an unrelated deal:

My brother has 2 Snap On cordless impact guns, the big one is pretty handy on stuff like exhaust bolts.

No experience, but could you print to PDF from the cloud reader and then read the PDF on the Nook?
