FWIW, I think some of the folks from the club that haven't been out to the track in a while are thinking about coming out... so there should be some familiar faces at the track this Saturday.

If so, PLEASE pre-register on-line. You don't have to pay if you don't want until the event, but it makes it much easier for Carol (Registration) and I (Chief instructor) if you pre-reg.

I'm backing out, I don't have brakes to run an event and it's too late to get them now.

You suck!

propartsusa.com has Cobalt CSR pads for the Mini in stock. They're not cheap ($230), but they're supposed to be good HPDE pads. UPS Ground is $12 and should get here before Friday. I'd even help you put 'em on the car friday evening if you need help... Just like old times, I'll pick up the milkshakes.

With my new job and schedule, I can't make it happen this time, I'll try for October. And i no longer shop at Summit even if it is in stock, there's and incredibly huge douchebag that works the front of shop there that has forced me never to give them a fucking penny again.

That sounds like it deserves a story thread...

Sort of. You could help registration, tech, hospitality (food/water) or instruct(if trained/licensed) and drive, but not really work a corner.

You could learn timing, race control, starter or safety duties as well since they are all located in/near the paddock.

Show up early and tell Carol (registration) you want to help out and what you might want to do.
