Default scoop on a rs

has anyone on here successfully lined up and installed a scoop on a bugeye style rs hood? Cant find anyone local that has a hood for me, and shipping is risky. Thinking about just cheating.

Khail did that on his '02 bugeye RS. Looked pretty good.

I think I saw someone selling a bugeye hood on craigslist.

PM'd you back Sean. It was one of the first things I did to the car, and it turned out pretty well. There were actual holes cut in my hood, it wasn't just sitting there. I must have been much braver 10 years ago, cause I don't think I'll be taking a Sawzall to any more of my cars!

The actual WRX hood has a depression the the scoop sits in, so you won't be able to make it as flush on an RS. I don't think it looked bad on my car, but it won't be quite as clean as getting a WRX hood.

He cut a hole IIRC. The only difference was that there wasn't a recess in the hood where the scoop attached, but it was really only noticeable if you were looking for it.

I don't have any close ups of the hood, but these might help you out.

thanks for the replys. That still looks awesome. I just ordered the jdm bugeyes sti scoop yesterday. That should give my car a little more aggressive look.
