Default FS: Gram Lights 57C w/ worn RE070's $750 OBO

Yeah, I think I'm going to put them up for sale. Light and cheap, they are great rims.

17x7.5 5x100 +48 Gram Light 57c Anthracite - 15.5lbs per wheel!
225/45/17 RE070 Tires (STi takeoffs)

The tires are enough for a few auto-x's and maybe a track day or maybe a few months of summer driving. The wheels have curbing on them, but covered up with touch up paint. The curbing is still obvious up close, but not far away. As far as I know, these wheels will not clear Brembo's or Stoptech's.

$750 OBO. Posting them here for a week or so before raising the price (not for locals of course) and posting this on national boards.

Some pics:

I'll take some better detail pics tonight and post them up:

These are a great set of race wheels for anyone not running a big brake kit... (hell, these are great wheels for summer tires too).

I also approve these rims........
They'll clear FHI 4pots, no problem, just the BIG kits that have problems, as they'd need another 3mm of clearance or so for Stoptech 328's.

Keep 'em in the family, these are killer wheels with quite a history

If you are seriously interested, I can hold off a few extra weeks if you want. I'm in no rush to sell them. I was saying a week if I got no bites here. I'd much rather sell local then deal with shipping wheels.

That'd be great. Let me get my stuff together and give you a more definite answer by the weekend.

It'd be cool as I was looking at getting some ASAP anyhow.

Yeah they will... sort of. I had S03s on those wheels with my RS, 225/45 and pulling the fender lip off almost made them clear. I then self-rolled the driver's side on the on-ramp to 50 West leaving the original S2 shop. Maybe 1/4" worth.

I wouldn't be able to afford 'em until mid-late feb, so GC8's got dibs.

I may be interested in the unmounted unused tires if someone wants to split this deal. If so, may I have the exact model number?

Bridgestone Potenza RE070. There's only one version AFAIK. Also, they are mounted... are you thinking of bxracer69's Kumhos?

Actually, I think he's looking for the Prodrive P7 thread by dmentdwrx. IIRC, he's got a lightly used set of summers on the rims, and a new set of all-seasons unmounted.

Oops... you guys are right. I was referring to another thread where a set of unused tires were mentioned.

Well, go ahead and take dibs, I'll step aside. It's very, very, very likely I'm in the exact same position as you are money-wise.

I probably wouldn't be using the tires, and I'd very likely be repainting.

So they're yours first if you want 'em!

I'll go over my finances for the next month and see what I've got. I'm guessing since the STi uses the re070s in that size, I won't have to worry about rubbing. . .?

Nick, do you have more pix of those?

You won't have to worry aobut rubbing, for sure.
What car do you want pictures on? They've been on a black WRX wagon, a black Legacy wagon, a blue RS, a red Legacy......

(they're my old wheels, just trying to help)

I have more far away shots, but nothing up close. If you are coming to the meet tonight, you could swing by my place afterwards to take a look at them up close if you wanted.

I wasn't able to make it tonight, but I'll be there next week fo' sho'.

Sybir, don't worry about the pix. I wanted to get a view of the curbing, but I just remembered that Nick said they were touched back up. No biggie.

Bump. If anyone is interested, let me know. I'm putting these on i-club and stuff probably this weekend if I can snap some good pictures.
