Thumbs up exhaust manifold info

Hey guys I have not been on the site for a long time because of my computer has been broken. If some of you dont remember my name Sam, and I live in Carson City. I drive a 05 STI and last time I talked I was asking some dumb ass questions about a bad suspension set up. Sence then I have done a few new modifications. I went ahead and got the Tein type Flex w/EDFC and a set of toyo proxy fours for my "handling" category. For power I got a turbo back exhaust, HKS intake, Perrin FMIC, reflashed ECU(sending it out tommarow), exidy single disk clutch w/flywheel.(i know that does not add power but I thought I would add it."
Now here is where I need the help with the exhaust manifold. I dont know what header I should purchase? I have a Perrin downpipe so i dont know if that would change any brand I can get. I know going to buy one tommarow so please let me know tonight if that is possible. Thanks SECCS

I believe doublerx (Nick) has the GT Spec headers and they really helped with mid-peak torque.

That is what I have. Just be prepared for the change in your exhaust note. It added around 5 whp and 25'# of wtq. I really liked the mod, but if you are a fan of the deeper exhaust tone, stick to the factory headers.

Well i would need to purchase an uppipe also?? right? and the cusco would not interfeer in any way with the perrin downpipe? right?

I was told the HKS stuff for subies are not good except the header? is that true or not true?

HKS makes great parts for other cars, but for some reason it always seems that the impreza is over looked. Everything fits "okay", but never great.

Money better spent elsewhere.

[HKS Rant] hard to think that they would get one part right, and me, want too buy that only part; when there are so many equal too or better out there that have additional great parts for my car and/or have race cars using and testing the parts I want instead of just some graph.......[/HKS Rant]
